Akwasi Frimpong

President

Akwasi Frimpong is a Dutch-Ghanaian sprinter, bobsledder, and skeleton athlete who has won 4 bronze, 4 silver, and 8 gold medals in various national and international sport events. He earned the title of Dutch National Junior Champion in the 200 meter sprints in 2003, which earned him the nickname ‘GoldenSprint.’ He then moved to the US where he won several races for the Utah Valley University and graduated in 2013 with honors in Marketing with a minor in business management. Frimpong became a household name after the 2018 Winter Olympics and in 2020 he became the first African to win a skeleton race. Akwasi is more than an athlete. He is a father, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who believes what you need for success is already planted inside of you. He believes success comes from believing in yourself with a positive attitude combined with hard work and persistence

Vice President

Robert Annak is a sprinter and a former member of the Ghanaian national team. During his athletic career, he participated in several 400 meter races and earned name for his team and country. He studied Population and Health at University Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana.

Treasurer

Erica is the co-founder of BSF-Ghana and an alumnus of Brigham Young University (BYU). She studied Exercise Science and Wellness at BYU and was a former NCAA Division I long jumper.

Secretary

Edwin Randolph, who has studied at Brigham Young University, is Utah County Deputy Sheriff and BYU women track and field coach.

Advisor

Loretta graduated from the University of Ghana in Information Studies and Sociology. She is very active in different communities in Ghana and she hopes to get the sport bobsled and skeleton more known in Ghana. In her free time if she is not contributing to the community; she is playing handball.
